When do I have to sign up by?

You must sign up by January 29.

How do I sign up?

Fill out a SIGN-UP SHEET, and mail it or hand it to Ben along with your non-refundable $20 deposit.  The balance is due the day of the retreat.

What should I bring?

  • Filled out 2012 MEDICAL RELEASE FORM (your 2011 release is no good any more). No release, no retreat.
  • Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, flashlight, Bible, pen, notebook
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, towel, washcloth)
  • Warm clothes (we’re going to the snow one day!). You will receive the garment(s) you ordered the day we leave.
  • Modest swimsuit (guys - no speedos, girls - one piece or two piece with a shirt) for river fun (not required, but highly suggested).
  • Spare pair of shoes (in case one gets muddy)
  • Snow toys if you have them (sled, snow tube, etc.)
  • Money for dinner on Friday (or a packed dinner) and snack/lunch on Monday
  • Cards or any small games you’d like to play

What should I leave at home?

  • Skis/snowboards (we will not be using them)
  • Illegal drugs, weapons, alcohol, cigarettes (if found, you will immediately be sent home, no questions asked)
  • Video game systems, music players (cd players, ipods, etc.), and cell phones.  If found, they will be confiscated.  We want all distractions removed so you can focus on God & the people here. All the leaders have cell phones, so there is no need for you to bring one.

When are we leaving/getting back?

  • February 17 – meet at NBC at 4:30 pm with either a packed dinner or money for dinner (we will stop on the way)
  • February 20 – we should get back to NBC by about 2:00 pm.

Where will we be staying?

We will be going back to where our retreats started 3 years ago - in Reedley!  We have been given the blessing of returning there.  Though it doesn't snow there, the plan is to go and find some to play in, as we've done in the years past.

Can I see what's going on at the retreat while it's happening?

Yes!  Follow Ben's Twitter (don't worry - you don't need to sign up for Twitter to view) for the latest updates and pictures!  And for the first time, we're going to record the speaking sessions!  You can listen to what's being taught HERE.
