How did you come to NBC? Laura and I moved in the area from WA, visited one Sunday, and were hooked!

What is your role at NBC? Youth ministry, family ministry, preaching, worship, website, admin, and much more!

What is the best part about your role? Getting to do what I love with the people I love.

What is your favorite Bible passage? Psalm 13.  It's a reminder that regardless what life throws at us, we can trust God.  He's been good to us in the past, and He'll be good again!

Which Bible character do you identify the most with? Peter.  He's impulsive yet passionate, which is just like me!

What is your favorite coffee drink? A black cup of Starbucks Kenya coffee!

What makes you laugh? Kramer

Lucas has been a volunteer at NBC since the fall of 2008 working with middle school students. Lucas started working with youth as a volunteer in 1995 as a leader in the high school group. He continued serving there until 2000. Lucas also worked at City Team's Summer Camp "Camp May Mac" from 1998-2002 serving inner city kids.

Lucas recently completed his BA degree in hospitality management. He currently works at a local hotel in Cupertino, CA. He enjoys watching his favorite hockey team the San Jose Sharks, and outdoor activities such as running, cycling, and hiking with his wife. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Wendy, since 2006.

Family: Married to Kirk, we have a 1 year old daughter, Claire.

What is your role at NBC? I’m the one signing really badly in worship, at the top of my voice…oh I think you mean…I volunteer in the Nursery and am now really excited to join Alioth!

What is the best part about your role? I get to be a part of young people’s lives, to see them grow, and to walk alongside them through the good and the bad. Kids teach me so much about life!

What is your favorite Bible passage?  Why? Psalm 143:10 I’m really trying to seek God’s Plan for my life, but most of all I like the reminder that God is gracious and He is the one constant in our life, regardless of our circumstances or our emotions.

Which Bible character do you identify the most with?  Why? Probably Martha, I’m constantly learning to be still when it matters and to quiet down the busyness in my life.

What is your favorite coffee drink? A Pumpkin Spice Latte

What is your favorite place on the earth? The beach, anywhere.

What makes you laugh? My daughter, Claire-she cracks me up. She uses everyday objects in hilarious new ways and can make the craziest faces!

What makes you cry? Pain and suffering in others. Senseless violence. People’s indifference to those things.

What is your favorite television show? Why? Parenthood, it shows all the true things about family-struggles and joy.

What is your favorite pastime? I like to read, to travel, to cook
