Colossians: Christ, Center Of It All

While we know that an atom doesn’t really look like this...symbols help us grasp the intangible. Christ at the center of everything is kind of like that. Speaking of Jesus, Paul writes “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Col. 1:17)

We are currently in a series of messages from the New Testament book of Colossians. Christianity was a late arrival on the scene in the city of Colossae where a spiritual smorgasbord was being served up. Paul writes to strengthen and encourage the young, struggling church to hold fast to the hope, freedom and position they hold in Christ. He does this by putting on display the work, person and all encompassing sufficiency of Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to have Christ as the center? Practically, what does this mean for my work week, the relationships I hold dear, my pile of bills or my worship? Join us every Sunday as we explore this rich little book together.
