Why Community Groups?
With Jesus in your life…everything changes! Relationships are transformed. Paul, through inspiration of the Spirit of God, wrote to instruct Christians how to come together the way God desires. It is modeled after Jesus. Philippians 2 gives us very clear ways to achieve unity…have the same love, be one in spirit and purpose. Our unity is not based on having the same convictions of every matter (see Romans 14-15) or even holding to exactly the
same doctrines (see 1 Corinthians 8-10). It will be a community founded on and sustained by truth and love that grows from Christlike attitudes and actions toward one another.
Want to know how to grow in doing “nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Phil. 2:3-4)? Practice by walking with others on the same journey! That is the heart of why we are so interested in getting every person into a Community Group. If we possess and express these attitudes and actions in increasing measure toward our brothers and sisters, there will be Christian unity.
We have many different groups going on! Find one that fits your schedule and demographic, and contact the leader for more info!
