Honor | La Honra
As children of God we are called to preach and live a gospel, not only in word, but also in power in the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 1:5(a) “because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit…”
And it was with this word, as many years ago The Lord opened my eyes and made me understand the concept of Honor.
The word honor is: The demonstration of appreciation, respect and recognition that is made to someone for his virtues and his merits.
Honor is an ACTION and it is one of the main keys that open the doors of blessings and miracles.
What was Jesus doing in Nazareth, his land? Miracles. But the people stopped seeing the supernatural and began to see the natural.
What Jesus teaches us is that where people see only what their natural eyes can see and their natural mind can understand, there will be no honor and there can be no miracles, that is, the supernatural of God cannot be manifested.
Realize that where Jesus was not honored as the Son of God, he could not do much for them.
Likewise, many times we do not honor our neighbors, who are the people we have next to us, because we know that they are imperfect and that they make mistakes. We see their faults, their humanity, and we lose sight of what honoring them can do for us. We miss out on the blessing they are to our lives.
We focus on the mistakes of civil leaders, teachers, bosses, spiritual leaders and because of that we lose the blessing that is behind them.It is a good time to redirect our thoughts and practice “Honor” first for God with our own life by showing the appreciation, respect and recognition that He deserves; understanding that this is the key to our blessing so that we go from the natural to the supernatural and that the gospel we preach has the fire and power of the Holy Spirit.
Como hijos de Dios estamos llamados a predicar y a vivir un evangelio, no sólo de palabra, sino también de poder en el Espíritu Santo.
1ªTesalonicenses 1:5(a) “pues nuestro evangelio no llegó a vosotros en palabras solamente, sino también en poder, en el Espíritu Santo…”
Y fué con esta palabra, como muchos años atrás El Señor abrió mis ojos y me hizo entender el concepto de La Honra.
La palabra honra es: La demostración de aprecio, de respeto y de reconocimiento que se hace a alguien por sus virtudes y sus méritos.
La honra es una ACCION y es una de las principales llaves que abren las puertas de las bendiciones y de los milagros.
¿Qué estaba haciendo Jesús en Nazareth, su tierra? Milagros. Pero el pueblo dejó de ver lo sobrenatural y empezó a ver lo natural.
Mateo 13:55-57¿No es éste el hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama su madre María, y sus hermanos, Jacobo, José, Simón y Judas?56¿No están todas sus hermanas con nosotros? ¿De dónde, pues, tiene éste todas estas cosas?57Y se escandalizaban de él. Pero Jesús les dijo: No hay profeta sin honra, sino en su propia tierra y en su casa.58Y no hizo allí muchos milagros, a causa de la incredulidad de ellos.”Lo que Jesús nos enseña es que donde la gente vea sólo lo que sus ojos naturales alcanzan a ver y su mente natural alcanza a entender, no habrá honra y no podrán haber milagros, es decir, no se podrá manifestar lo sobrenatural de Dios.
Date cuenta que donde a Jesús no lo honraron como el Hijo de Dios, no pudo hacer mucho por ellos.
Así mismo muchas veces no honramos a nuestro prójimo, que son las personas que tenemos al lado, porque sabemos que son imperfectos y que cometen errores. Vemos sus faltas, su humanidad y perdemos de vista lo que al honrarlos pueden hacer por nosotros. Desaprovechamos la bendición que ellos son para nuestra vida.
Los hijos ven las debilidades de sus padres, pero no por eso deben menospreciar lo que pueden hacer por ellos y viceversa.
Nos enfocamos en los errores de los líderes civiles, maestros, jefes, líderes espirituales y por eso perdemos la bendición que está detrás de ellos.
Es un buen momento para redireccionar nuestros pensamientos y practicar “La Honra” primeramente para Dios con nuestra propia vida al demostrar el aprecio, el respeto y el reconocimiento que El merece; entendiendo que esta es la llave de nuestra bendición para que pasemos de lo natural a lo sobrenatural y que el evangelio que predicamos tenga el fuego y el poder del Espiritu Santo.
