Don’t Let The Enemy Steal Your Purpose | No Dejes Que El Enemigo Te Robe Tu Propósito
“The keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph’s charge, because the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made it succeed.” Genesis 39:23 ESV
Joseph, son of Jacob, was favored by his father. Joseph was given a gift by God to be able to interpret dreams. His father made him a robe of many colors, and when his brothers saw that he was loved more than the rest of them, they started to hate him. So they made a plan to kill him.
Although they decided not to kill him, they mocked him for his dream abilities and then left him stranded in a pit and had their family believe he was killed by an animal. Joseph was later found and bought by the Ishmaelites, who then sold him to Potiphar. Potiphar’s wife then deceived Joseph as well & made him land in jail.
Joseph was now alone in prison. He went from being his father’s favorite to being alone in a jail cell. Yet God was still with him, and he does not let him die there.
There comes a time when Pharaoh has a dream and needs it to be interpreted. When he finds out about Joseph’s gift, he finds him and asks for an interpretation. Pharaoh is impressed and asks Joseph to oversee the land of Egypt. Joseph from then on was blessed by God.
You see, the very thing that got him put into a pit, got him out of the pit. God’s purpose and gift to Joseph was for him to interpret dreams, to which he could only do through God. If he would’ve given up when his brothers mocked him for being a dreamer, he would’ve never risen to the point to oversee Egypt. Don’t let others or the enemy steal your dream from you, God made you exactly the way you are, and He knows and planned your purpose.

José, hijo de Jacob, fue favorecido por su padre. Dios le dio a José un regalo de poder interpretar sueños. Su padre le hizo una túnica de muchos colores, y cuando sus hermanos vieron que era más querido que el resto de ellos, empezaron a odiarlo. Entonces hicieron un plan para matarlo.
Aunque decidieron no matarlo, se burlaron de él por las habilidades de sus sueños y luego lo dejaron varado en el pozo y su familia creyó que fue asesinado por un animal. Posteriormente, José fue encontrado y comprado por los ismaelitas, quienes luego lo vendieron a Potifar. La esposa de Potifar también engañó a José y lo hizo ir a la cárcel.
José estaba ahora solo en la cárcel, pasó de ser el favorito de su padre a estar solo en una celda. Sin embargo, Dios todavía estaba con él y no lo deja morir aquí.
Llega un momento en el que el faraón tiene un sueño y necesita que lo interprete. Cuando se entera del regalo de José, lo encuentra y le pide una interpretación. Faraón queda impresionado y le pide a José que supervise la tierra de Egipto. José desde entonces fue bendecido por Dios.
Verá, lo mismo que hizo que lo metieran en un pozo, lo sacó del pozo. El propósito y el regalo de Dios para José fue que él interpretara los sueños, lo cual solo podía hacer a través de Dios. Si se hubiera rendido cuando sus hermanos se burlaron de él por ser un soñador, nunca habría llegado al punto de supervisar todo Egipto. No dejes que otros o el enemigo te roben tu sueño, Dios te hizo exactamente como eres, y Él conoce y planeó tu propósito.
