Questions for the Community

Devoted to Learning

  1. Think back over the sermon and Scriptures. What is staying with you? Share one thing you are excited by, confused about or wanting to know more about.
  2. Paul and Luke pressed on toward good in spite of the hard. In your own words, how would you instruct someone who is struggling toward something good?
  3. How do common sense and supernatural sense show up in your daily life? What does it mean to live out Proverbs 3:5-6?
  4. Jesus’ teaching and life was brought in to each point on Sunday. This shows the connection from Jesus to Paul’s actual life. How do you make the connection from THEM to you?

Devoted to one another

  1. Part of our privilege and responsibility in God’s family is to know and be known. Each week, we will cultivate an environment that helps this along. Come ready to share one part of your ‘storm story’ (a time when you were on your way to abandoning hope like these sailors). Only share what you feel comfortable, but be willing to stretch.
  2. Using COVID 19 as a case study…how did you see common sense and supernatural sense play out in your life and decisions. Is there anything you’d do different with hindsight?

Devoted to praying

  1. Let the topics and themes of these final 2 chapters AND the circumstances of your life be your prayer guide. Read Galatians 6:7-9 and pray this for one another.
