2 Timothy 1:8-12

Questions for the Community

Personal Reflection

1. Paul’s convictions helped him to stay focused on what God had intended for Him and now he wants Timothy to understand that as well. Have you allowed other things in your life to distract you from what God wants to do in you and through you? If so, ask God to help you make the necessary changes to align with His purposes and to do what he has called you to do.

Group Discussion

1. We saw how Timothy had a few challenges/weakness in his life. what weaknesses in your life has stoped you from doing the things that God has called you to do?
2. Have you discovered your gift that God wants to use for his kingdom? Can you share how you think God uses you the most.

3. If someone doesn’t know their gift, the rest of the group share with that person how they have seen God use them. 4. Do you sometimes feel inadequate or ashamed to use your gift or simply to testify about God?

5. How does verse 12 help you and give you confidence to use your gift? Does it change the way you view opportunities?
6. How can this group help each other to utilize/use their gifts? Are there practical things that you can do?

Pray as a group for each one of you that God will allow you to live well and to give you opportunities to use your gifts for his glory and his kingdom.
