Questions for the Community

Personal Reflection

  1. Take time to make sure you are in an environment that allows for reflection and pondering. Consider both your external world (quiet, non-distracting, unhurried) and your internal world (rested, not anxious, expectant, truthful, open).
  2. Scroll back through the titles and accompanying images from the past year and a half of teachings in Luke (www.nbcsj.org/luke)

Group Discussion

  1. Look back over your last 12 months. What are the biggest changes, challenges and joys for you? Are there topics, hurts, questions or conversations that you’ve been avoiding? Why do you think that is?
  2. Need to KNOW learning: What have you needed to know lately that has forced urgent learning on you? How has your time on Sunday’s and in your CG promoted this learning?
  3. Need to GROW learning: In what way have you needed to grow in this past season? Did you turn to God, his word and your Christian family for help?
  4. Has the time in Luke caused you to grow in your own personal Bible study/understanding/applying? What can you learn from how others in the community read and apply the Bible?

Plan of Action

  1. Write down any words, verses, actions or stories you want to carry with you into the future. Review these in some kind of rhythm (daily, weekly) and talk regularly to your Lord about them.
  2. Do whatever it takes to keep putting into practice the things written in Luke. Diligently read, seek to understand and then walk in the truth found there.
