Personal Reflection
1. The topic of parents brings up a huge range of emotions and memories. What is stirred up in you this season?
2. God has much to say about our ID as children and as parents. How has our gracious Father redeemed the broken parts of your story and helped you rejoice in all the bright spots?

3. Is the value placed on mothering too high, too low or just right in our culture today? Cite examples for why you think so.
4. Respond to the statement made on Sunday “You can tell a lot about a country or person by who they honor”.
5. Re-read Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Why is it so vital for mom’s to keep themselves in the love of God before trying to serve their family? What does this look like? Older women in the faith (in particular), share what you have learned from years of walking with Jesus.
6. Which of the 4 words resonated with you the most?

7. Act on one or more of the 4 words offered on Sunday. Consider adopting another woman at church as your “spiritual mom”, especially if your own parents have died or are not in the faith.
8. Bring your hopes and hurts about mothering and mom’s to your Savior. Let him speak words of instruction, rebuke, comfort and wisdom over you.
