We Want To Hear From You! | Queremos Escucharte!
Today’s title is actually the last words of this message, so read until the end…. In general, the word talent evokes images of great musicians, actors, artists and even athletes. However, when we think about it in such a limited sense, we tend to think that we lack these talents and that we can never compare ourselves to those privileged few who have been endowed with these great abilities. But the reality is, that talents abound in a variety of shapes and sizes and each of us has several and maybe we don’t even notice them.
In the parable of the talents, Jesus shows us that we all have talents– maybe some more than others but in reality that is not the important thing, what is important is what you do with those talents. And I don’t just mean when we serve in the church, I mean how we are using them in our lives. I always tell my wife that she has the talent of giving hugs (which she had a sabbatical season from due to the pandemic hahaha), but you can feel the love and affection of God when you receive a hug from her inside or outside of the church.
Sometimes a word of encouragement, a call, or a text can show God’s goodness, mercy, and grace toward others. Are you usually calm in stressful situations? Maybe you are that person that someone is waiting in the midst of her despair. Are you that person who always sees something good in any situation? Maybe you are the one who can encourage him to get up and try again. Anyway, do you see my point? In fact, in God’s eyes, all of us are extremely talented, because he has put part of himself in you, he made us in his image and likeness and that makes you special, very special.

El titulo del mensaje de hoy lo encontraras en las ultimas palabras de este mensaje, así que lee hasta el final…. Por lo general, la palabra talento evoca imágenes de grandes músicos, actores, artistas y hasta deportistas. Sin embargo, cuando pensamos en este, en un sentido tan limitado, tendemos a pensar que carecemos de estos talentos y que nunca podremos compararnos con aquellos pocos privilegiados que han sido dotados con estas grandes habilidades. Pero la realidad es que los talentos abundan en variedad de formas y tamaños y cada uno de nosotros tenemos varios y de pronto ni nos damos cuentas de ellos.
En la parabola de los talentos Jesus nos muestra que todos tenemos talentos, de pronto unos más que otros pero en realidad eso no es lo importante, lo importante es que haces tú con esos talentos. Y no me refiero solamente cuando servimos en la iglesia, me refiero a cómo los estamos utilizando en nuestra vida. Siempre le digo a mi esposa que ella tienen el talento de dar abrazos (que por cierto le toco una temporada sabática debido a la pandemia, jajajaja), pero tu puedes sentir el amor y afecto De Dios cuando recibes un abrazo de ella dentro o fuera de la iglesia.
A veces una palabra de animo, una llamada o un texto puede mostrar la bondad, misericordia y gracia de Dios hacia otros. Por lo general eres calmado en situaciones de mucho estrés? De pronto eres esa persona que alguien esta esperando en medio de su desesperación. Eres aquella persona que siempre ve algo bueno en cualquier situación? De pronto eres esa persona que puedes animar a otros a que se levanten y vuelvan a intentarlo. En fin, ves mi punto? En realidad ante los ojos De Dios todos nosotros somos extremadamente talentosos, por que el a puesto parte de si en ti, nos hizo a su imagen y semejanza y eso te hace especial, muy especial.
